Rainforest Foods Organic Wheatgrass Powder – 200g

Wheatgrass is the leafy growth of the young Wheat plant (Triticum aestivum). Although �Wheat has been used as a cereal crop for millenia, Wheatgrass has only been consumed by humans since agricultural research into its effectiveness as a dietary supplement in the 1930s. Rainforest Foods Wheatgrass is grown on a farm in Canterbury, New Zealand, which has been organically certified for over 25 years. The Wheatgrass is harvested while the plant is still young – below 30cm tall. It is then dried and milled into a fine powder within 1-6 hours of harvest. The entire process is organically certified, and allows a high proportion of the plant’s original nutritional value to be retained. Wheatgrass is high in Vitamin A, C and Folic acid, and a source of Chlorophyll.

We recommend that you take one heaped teaspoon (3 grams) mixed with water or juice, once or twice a day. It should ideally be taken mid-morning and/or mid-afternoon. We also recommend that you take a reduced dose during the first week to minimise detoxification symptoms. Store your Wheatgrass in a cool, dry place
