Maca is an ancient Peruvian root that Incan warriors were said to have consumed for stamina and endurance. It is high in fibre and has a rich, malty flavour that combines well with cacao. It grows high in the Peruvian Andes and is able to survive during extreme weather conditions. Its root and hypocotyl – the bulbous stem below the leafy growth – have for centuries been part of the diet and culture of people in the region. After harvesting it is slowly air dried and then milled into a powder. It is HIGH IN VITAMIN B6 which contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity and HIGH IN POTASSIUM which contributes to normal muscle function. These maca capsules are 100% pure maca powder, using no fillers, binders or bulking agents. Each capsule contains just 500mg of powder and the capsule shells are made from HPMC, a plant-based cellulose material.

the recommended daily dose is 6 x 500 milligrams, taken at once or divided into 2-3 doses. Ideally, the tablets should be taken with water 30 minutes before a meal. For the first week of intake, it is recommended to take a lower dose (3-4 tablets per day) to minimize the symptoms of detoxification that may occur.
